Customers vote: Garands and Carbines win in a landslide of tin signs!

Carbine and Garand tin signs made in USA

What a crazy autumn it has been! Back when the editor-in-chief of the NRA magazine American Rifleman asked me if he could use the WWII ordnance artwork from my M1 Garand and M1 Carbine tin signs in the magazine, I was happy to provide it. Little did I know that this would touch off a huge increase in orders for these signs. It has been a customer service challenge, to be sure, but it has been anything but a nightmare. I’ve found my customers, many of them fellow NRA members to be exceptionally polite and patient people. They’ve shared incredible stories with me, and I regret that I will not get to meet many of these fine people in person. That is the double-edge sword of doing business on the internet, the ability to connect with folks around the country is great, but I miss being able to shake hands and say “thank you” face-to-face. Thanks to everyone who has been so patient and also so supportive of my one-man operation.

My designer, Mike Gerenser (who designed the tin signs and most of the books and magazines) is having a “Buy American” Christmas, where his family is doing their best to purchase gifts from right here at home. I think that is a fine idea, and if you would like to participate in that my products here at Armor Plate Press can help. All of the books and magazines are printed in the USA, and the signs (and DVDs too) are all manufactured in America. Just realizing that feels pretty good. As Mom and Dad used to say: “Every little bit helps.”

I’m fulfilling the back orders for the signs now, hoping that everyone gets their signs in time for the Holidays. Regrettably, there are no guarantees on the shipping (USPS Parcel Post), but orders placed by December 9th have a strong chance of getting there in time (unless you live in Hawaii or Alaska, but if you do, you already understand those issues).

Again, thanks for your patience and your support. If you have a question or concern about your order, remember that you are dealing with me, and you always welcome to e-mail me here: lem@armorplatepress.com

You have my best wishes for a happy Holiday season, and a wonderful New Year!
